Think Green !!!
Let's walk or cycle to school!
- Rising vehicle use adds to congestion, road accidents and pollution, including carbon emissions. Car-sharing and public transportation help to ease these concerns, while walking and cycling also boost fitness and well-being.
- During term time cars on the school run account for a considerable percentage of early morning traffic and a measurable increase in pollutants near schools. Being driven to school decreases pupils' independent mobility, reduces their amount of daily exercise and detracts from their awareness of road safety.
